THE POINT REYES LIGHTHOUSE

This is a late afternoon photograph of the Point Reyes Lighthouse from the walkway to the clockworks that made it turn. It was lit with an oil lamp. The Fresnel lens directed the light rays of the lamp’s flames to the horizon. A ship could see the flashing light 24 miles out to sea. All prints are signed,
