Oil on canvas, 48 x 24 inches. A view of Mount Tamalpais from the east. We were driving along Highway 37 when I was struck by the fog and light on Mount Tamalpais. I took a photograph through the window screen of the car and worked on the painting later in the studio. 

The path to Pebble Beach is one of my favorite hikes; the moss covered branches and lush greenery are a balm to the senses. As I painted this, it kept me focused and calm.
