Kathleen Goodwin started painting in 1976. Her studio and gallery is atop Inverness Ridge, adjacent to Point Reyes National Seashore. She works mostly with oil paint but loves watercolors too. Born in South Africa, she moved to the United States in 1974. Oil on canvas 36 x 24”. I was walking back from a walk north of Limantour Beach and saw the full moon rise over the coastal hills. I took a photograph and painted the extraordinary scene later in my studio
