El Capitan Clearing Storm, Yosemite Valley -SOLD
El Capitan Clearing Storm, Yosemite Valley -SOLD
This image was taken on film with a Hasselblad camera in 1972. A winter storm was over, and the sun began to shine. The prow of El Capitan, called the Nose by climbers, was glowing with its white rock. The scene became invisible due to tree growth, but the park recently burnt the trees back with a controlled burn and I could see the view again. With a custom frame by Ivan Stern in black walnut.
